Therefore, we have canceled our February meeting and will be holding our next STLFCPUG on March 2, 2010. We greatly apologize for not letting you know sooner but we plan to put more resources toward March to make it an even bigger event! We would like to encourage everyone who would like to be involved in the legislative process to read below and find out more of what is going on in our industry. IMPORTANT REMINDER One voice - one person CAN make a difference. On February 2, Missouri's motion media industry will gather in Jefferson City, at the Capitol building to educate legislators about who we are, what we do and why our industry is important to Missouri's economy. If you have never talked with legislators before, DON"T WORRY. We'll walk you through the process and give you a complete packet of information to take with you. The most important thing you can do is tell your legislators how this industry is important to you, personally. You'll have fun. You'll learn. You'll MAKE A DIFFERENCE. We need everyone who can be in Jefferson City on February 2 to be there. The only saying, "There is strength in numbers," is true. Let them see that the motion media industry isn't composed of a producer and a director from L.A. dropping in to shoot a film. Let them know that there are thousands of Missourians who work in this industry and who depend on it to put food on their table, gas in their car and taxes in Missouri's coffers. To RSVP, just send your name and zip code in a reply to
